I saw a Simpsons the other day that I forgot about. It's the one they go to Rio de Janeiro and Lisa's telling Homer that their winter is our summer and vice-a-versa. And Homer says, "Wait. So you're telling me that in August it's Cold, and February is hot?"
"Yes!"
"We've discovered opposite land. Where crooks chase cops and dogs have kittens..."
Oh yeah, Chris. I forgot to tell you that in a couple of weeks, Brian Wilson is performing at the Hollywood Bowl I think. I mean, he's definitely performing, but I'm just not sure if that was the place or not.
I can't wait till me move in to our place and get settled. More importantly, I can't wait till I can get my bike back.
It may have been like this before and I just didn't notice it, but this whole area is pretty full with bicylists. Almost everywhere I've gone has had bike racks and bike lanes. I guess I didn't bike much on this side before. I was always biking between Redondo Beach and Westchester and LAX.
Speaking of LAX, what's the deal with all these X-Mas shows or movies on? I also miss not having my record player. I guess my stereo in general. I have my minidisc recorder, but it gets tiring and uncomfortable listening to headphones all the time.
Actually, the past couple of days I've been watching TV a lot. I saw a Tom Selleck show last night. I think he's in Portland and is a cop. With suspensful results.
And in related news, we might be going to Vegas this weekend. It all depends, because of this whole fucking Discover card debacle. Someday, my friends, heads are going to roll!!!
So there's this new show which premiered tonight called Prison Break. It's about some guy who's set up for a crime and his brother knows he's innocent, so he robs a bank to get arrested to get in the prison to help his brother escape. Sounds like a good idea for a movie, but for a TV series? What's he going to do, spend 12 seasons finding out how to get them out of there? Maybe just a weekly they are about to escape but the warden catches them in yet another hilarious escape plan.
"Oh, you! When will you and your brother learn, there's no escape!"
"You win this round, Warden."
I think that there was a show sort of like that. What was it called? Ah, yes! The Prisoner..
That would be pretty rad if it premeired as this drama and ends up a comedy.
